Tourists of Mongolia no more require a visa for a short-term visit of Russia, as an agreement to this effect will come into force on 14.11.2014 (See official site of Russian Ministry of Foreign Offer).
Under the visa-free short-term tourist travel agreement signed between the two countries several weeks ago, their citizens are eligible for entry, exit, transit or stay on the territory of the other country for up to 30 days running, but no more than 90 days from each period of 180 days.
Citizens of many countries can entry to Russia without visas: almost all CIS contries, Thailand, Serbia, Montenegro, Turkey, Israel, SAR Hong Kong, SAR Macau, Brazil, Chile, Argentina, Cuba, Peru, Venezuela, Fiji, South Korea, Paraguay and etc.
Since autumn of 2002 Russian Government has been making attempts to build visa free zone between Russia and Schengen Contries, but European officials have always denied.
