There are approx. 10 types of venomous snakes live in Russia: Vipera berus, Vipera dinniki, Vipera lotievi, Vipera magnifica, Vipera orlovi, Vipera renardi (all over the country), Viperidae ursini, Viperidae kaznakovi (in Caucasus mountains) and Agkistrodon halys (in South Siberia).

The level of danger of snake bites in Russia for cyclists is low.

So far no incident of medical problem due to snake bites are reported. I am sure the cyclist can protect themselves from the snake especially since they are always on the move. Also snakes don't usually bite unless you hurt them. Heart Surgery
