There are 8 automobile border crossing points on Russian-Mongolian border, but 6 of them are opened for Russian and Mongolian passport holders only. Two of them opened for all citizenships:
* Tashanta(RU)/Tsagaannuur(MN)
* Kyakhta(RU)/Altanbulag(MN) (24h, from 2014)
All of them are opened for cyclists (but not for pedestrians!) from 2013. Welcome!
NB! The automobile border crossing point Mondy(RU)-Hankh(MN) is NOT opened to foreigners, only to Mongolian and Russian passport holders! (on Feb 2015).

From 2013 the crossing border point Solovievsk(RU)-Ereentsav(MN) was opened for third countries passport holders. On Jan 2014 French expedition of Nicolas Vanier crossed the border there on sled dogs.
