Hi everybody,

we ll go by train to Moscou and then to the Baikal. As we don't know the area, we would be interested to get advice about the place. We dont' know yet if we ll take tickets until Irkutsk or Ulan -Ude.
It seems that Irkutsk would be better if we want to go to the Oklon island but we were wondering about the possible itineraries between Irkutsk and Ulan Ude then. If it is too busy, too steap, we d rather stop directly in Ulan Ude and try to find a place to store our bicycles while having A ten days walking in the south lake area.
Have you cycled there already or do you know some people who did that ?
Would be great to get advice now that we are about to enter Russia
Hope to read you soon
Isabelle for the whole family

It's more or less popular year-round cycling route. In English read there.

And, NB: the Baikal region has high risk of tick-borne encephalitis, so make vaccination before your visit.
